I thoroughly enjoy experimenting at festivals. They are the one place where there are no rules, adults act like children and it is wrong to judge the wild and reckless! During my festival wardrobe shopping I stumbled upon these bad-boys.
If you haven't seen this kit before, I will explain what makes it so special in comparison to ordinary nail trios. In this pack Ciaté have included a UV sensitive topcoat, so when you are under festival/club UV lights your manicure shows up. It's a bit of fun which is what summer and festivals are all about! What is even better is that there is glitter included to make this a really bright do-it-yourself manicure kit. When the festival fun is all over and you want to get back to your ordinary colours the nail polish with the bow on is a deep sky blue which spreads so evenly on the nail! This colour is perfect for going into Autumn/Winter. Funnily enough, this is the first time I have used a Ciaté nail polish but since their famous invention of 'nail caviar' in 2012 I have been eager to tryout the brand. So far, I am impressed.
If you have purchased this kit and plan on manicuring with the polishes and glitter then one thing to bear in mind is that you will need to put a fair bit of time aside:
-It takes a few minutes to apply the polish and glitter (I did each nail one by one because the glitter needs to be on wet polish to stick.)
-It will take between 30-40 mins for the glitter to dry enough so none falls off.
-Then, the topcoat takes 5-10 minutes to dry.
-Then, the topcoat takes 5-10 minutes to dry.
I have no idea how long this will last. I plan to update on this post in a few days to let you know how it goes so keep checking back.
In my humble opinion, this kit is worth the time consuming application because it looks super unique! I considered buying this as gift because the packaging is holographic. But this one was a gift for myself. Oops! I'm not even guilty because I picked it up for just £8 at TKMaxx, so I am not many pennies out of pocket. I believe it can be purchased even cheaper online in a variety of colours which I will be purchasing if this lasts!
Have you used Ciaté products before? Is this something you would love to try?
